Nintendo.com Updated, a look back on the NSider Forums, and today’s smash update…

30 11 2007

Here’s the link if you didn’t already know it…

At last, the site has been updated to a new, fresh look. I’ve been going to the Nintendo site ever since it opened, but never joined the forums until 2006. Sure, the new site looks nice and all, but did they really have to shut down the forums? I’m still mad to this day that NOA closed the NSider forums. That was my first online community, and I loved every second of it.

You may remember me if you were a frequent Power-On visitor, as that’s where I spent most of my time. My username was Hypertoad (I hated that name, but it’s followed me through nearly every online username I’ve had…) and I had nearly 5,000 posts; I was 23 away from 5K before it closed. Right now you can find me on NSider2, or (less commonly) S1lverhawk79’s NSider Forums. Oh yeah, I was also banned 5 times, 3 of which were misunderstandings, so those were shorter bans. (Only by a day or two)

Huh, I guess I’ve began to ramble on to much, so here’s today’s Smash Update…

What?! Is this… Hyrule Temple?!

It is! Melee stages are back in all of their glory!

… I wonder if they fixed the Black Hole Glitch!

One more thing I noticed was that it looks like Bowser is shooting fireballs, instead of a row of fire like in Melee…

For all those who haven’t seen the Black Hole Glitch…

Some neat little things I found in my bookmarks

29 11 2007

Like Sonic Team? Then you’ll love this site.

This site has all kinds of Prototypes, betas, and Pirates of Sonic Team games, along with magazine scans. Unfortunately, the site doesn’t update any more…

Oh! Dango! Jam is a VERY addictive flash game

It’s a lot like Pokemon, although it’s a fighting game. Very fun.

Lots of free Mac and Windows icons.

There’s lots of video game and TV show icons. It’s a really good site.

A awesome Kirby fansite

Great for everything Kirby! I found this site while looking for Kirby renders…

I like all these sites, and I thought they might be helpful to someone out there. (I know they were helpful to me)

Another cool site…

OCremix.org has all kinds of cool Video Game Music Remixes. I really like the Zelda remixes and the old Sonic remixes.

There’s lots of cool songs and it’s updated every day. There’s also links to other VG music sites like Project Chaos which is a Sonic remixing project.

I’ve been visiting this site for months, and I love it.

Another Mario 64 Hack

29 11 2007

I think this one is cooler than the Paper Mario one. It’s really neat in my opinion.

One thing I noticed was that the Mr. I enemies were turned into Spitball Sparkies… I didn’t really get that. It’s still really cool, though.

Super Paper Mario 64

29 11 2007

This is such a cool Super Mario 64 hack. It must’ve taken them a long time to make.

I’ve actually attempted to make a Super Mario 64 hack using Toad’s Tool 64 for Macs, but I don’t have the time nor the patience to make it…

I did make Mario’s hat say LOL though.

Another Pokemon Gold post…

29 11 2007

Haha, a egg named Bob. Awesome.

Another Missingno. but it’s on Gold this time.

I love this game.

Pokemon Gold/Silver = Hardest Pokemon games ever.

29 11 2007

Here’s the Red battle…

And here’s the Blue. Both of those are real battles, not hacks.

I’ve never actually beaten my copy of Gold, and when I try to play mine now, it doesn’t work that well… *Cries*

Oh well.

I can’t believe I missed this Update…!

29 11 2007

The color changes this time around are really cool. There’s even Fire Mario!

It’s Yeti DK!!

You can actually be Shadow Link this time around! Too bad he doesn’t have any new moves…

Yay! Fusion Suit Colors! I wish it was more like the Fusion Suit, though.

Dark Fox is so cool looking. I thought it was Wolf at first…

Huh. At first glance, they may look like the same costumes as before… But… They’re way different.

Classic Zelda and Dark Zelda are new colors.

Golden and Dark Pit are his costumes.

Ike dons generic soldier clothes…

…And Snake gets some new camo!

I really like these new costumes.

Event matches are back…

29 11 2007

I’m so excited about event matches. The only things that makes me play Melee to this day are the glitches, and to a lesser extent, Event Matches.

The Event Selection screen looks much better now…

Now, you can choose the level of difficulty!

Here are some of the Events:

Two Trouble Kings: Fight both Bowser and DeDeDe at the same time as Mario!

Pink Ball Repulsion

Play as Meta-Knight and fend off Kirby before the platform lands on the Battleship Halberd.

Destroy all the platforms as Pit.

Sleeping in the Eggs

Turn all the enemies into eggs at the same time.

Dark Link Duel

Battle Dark Link in a stamina battle!

I think this was a pretty good update.

Really cool site…

28 11 2007

thecoverproject.net has all kinds of video game box art, both old and new. It also has custom covers. This site is really helpful for games like Wii Sports and Link’s Crossbow Training because those games don’t have there old covers…

Since the stupid pictures don’t wanna upload, my favorite (Favorite to laugh at) covers are…

Megaman 1 NA Boxart

Frankenstien’s Monster AU Boxart

Pac-Man Atari 2600 NA Boxart

And the best custom boxart I’ve seen is…

Link’s Crossbow Training! Whoever made that is really good.
