Ah, nostalgia…

17 12 2007

This video makes me almost tear up with memories of playing this game with my cousins… I really need to get this game on the VC right now.

Hm, I think this and Sonic & Knuckles were the most played games when I was younger… Those are the games that got me into video games…

Anyways, this video is over a hour long, so just watch as much as you want…

Yeah, we’ve gotten some cool Smash Updates like…

STAFY!

And…

WALUIGI!

Hah, I really was hoping we would get these at least as Assist Trophies…

Yay!

12 12 2007

My Mario Mii placed 6th World-wide!! I can’t beleve this is actually happening, and I’m very excited about it.

I’ll put up some pictures soon, so just be patient.

Anyways, today we got two Smash Updates, and here they are:

Options!

This is what all of the options are.

DEFLICKER: Makes the graphics smoother but more blurry…

RUMBLE: Kinda speaks for itself…

SOUND: Adjust how loud the music or sfx are.

Sound Test: Uh… Play music…

After achieving awesomeness, choose this option. It’s a really good one.

Screen

Controls

And My Music…

Also, we got a song, too.

I actually like this song.

Pokemon Snap review…

11 12 2007

Here’s the review that I promised.

Graphics: 7/10

Nothing spectacular, but ok for the N64

Gameplay: 8.5/10:

It’s actually a rail-shooter, so it’s really neat.

Music: 8/10

Pretty good, but it doesn’t live up to the other classic Pokémon games.

Length:

6/10

Pretty easy to beat, but there’s still a lot of pictures to take.

Overall:

8/10

A must-have for the VC if you played it before.

POKEMONZ SNAP

10 12 2007

Today Pokemon Snap was released on the VC!!

Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve played this game (Around 6-7 years!) so it’s gonna be a nostalgic time playing it. After I post this I’m gonna go download it, and I’ll put some videos in before I write my mini-review.

So… Here’s some videos…

Yay for old N64 commercials!

Here’s the secret tunnel…

*Goes to download game*

Understanding Games…

7 12 2007

Today I found some fun little games called Understanding Games.

Understanding Games are little flash games that are actually kinda edumactashunal… Not like I need education or anything… They teach why we like to play video games, and just their basic concepts …

Oh well, I’ll quit my rambling, here are the links

Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3

Episode 4

I really like these games, they’re really neat.

And here’s another fun game from the same developers!

For all those who want a new iPod shuffle, and today’s Smash Update

6 12 2007

You can get a free $15 iTunes Card when you buy a iPod shuffle at Wal-Mart… I thought that was pretty cool.

Anyways here’s today’s update: King DeDeDe’s Final Smash

First, he calls his “helpers”…

Here come the Waddle-Dees!!

They march around, destroying all in their path.

The Waddle-Dees are very dangerous, but the worst enemies are the Gordos!

I think this is a pretty cool Final Smash, and I might use Kind DeDeDe more now…

Tonight we’re getting a Christmas tree…

5 12 2007

So here’s some huge Christmas Trees and decorations…

Christmas is the best holiday, for sure.

One of the weirdest games I’ve ever played…

4 12 2007

DOLPHIN OLYMPICS 2!!

This is such a weird game, but it’s fun. You’re a dolphin trying to jump as high as possible, but it’s actually pretty hard… My high-score is 1,169,787.

Here’s some other weird games on Kongregate:

PAPA LOUIE…

Bloons Tower Defense 2

I love Kongregate, even though my dad has a way higher ranking then me…

Linerider is awesome.

3 12 2007

Here’s the link

One of the most simple but fun games I’ve ever played. All you do is draw lines and let Bosh (the little guy on the sled) go down (or up) on them. Sounds simple, but very awesome.

Here’s some of my favorite Linerider videos.

Nintendo.com Updated, a look back on the NSider Forums, and today’s smash update…

30 11 2007

Here’s the link if you didn’t already know it…

At last, the site has been updated to a new, fresh look. I’ve been going to the Nintendo site ever since it opened, but never joined the forums until 2006. Sure, the new site looks nice and all, but did they really have to shut down the forums? I’m still mad to this day that NOA closed the NSider forums. That was my first online community, and I loved every second of it.

You may remember me if you were a frequent Power-On visitor, as that’s where I spent most of my time. My username was Hypertoad (I hated that name, but it’s followed me through nearly every online username I’ve had…) and I had nearly 5,000 posts; I was 23 away from 5K before it closed. Right now you can find me on NSider2, or (less commonly) S1lverhawk79’s NSider Forums. Oh yeah, I was also banned 5 times, 3 of which were misunderstandings, so those were shorter bans. (Only by a day or two)

Huh, I guess I’ve began to ramble on to much, so here’s today’s Smash Update…

What?! Is this… Hyrule Temple?!

It is! Melee stages are back in all of their glory!

… I wonder if they fixed the Black Hole Glitch!

One more thing I noticed was that it looks like Bowser is shooting fireballs, instead of a row of fire like in Melee…

For all those who haven’t seen the Black Hole Glitch…
